This Ride for Heroes commemorates the soldiers who stood steadfast for human rights and for the freedom of all human beings.
Even in Canada, Sikhs have been a vital part of the Canadian military for many years. They have been able to wear turbans while serving in the Canadian military for many years; however, Sikhs still aren’t exempt from motorcycle helmet laws in all provinces. When they were granted this right in Ontario in 2018, the Canadian Veterans Motorcycle Club reached out to the Sikh Motorcycle Club in solidarity and decided to celebrate this victory by riding together while raising money for charity.
This year marks the 2nd Ride for Heroes fundraiser, organized by the Sikh Motorcycle Club, Canadian Veterans Motorcycle Club, Sovereign Six Nations Motorcycle Club, and North Wall Riders Association in support of Renos for Heroes. Renos for Heroes was chosen as the benefiting charity of this ride as all the participating motorcycle clubs have a vested interest in giving back to the Canadian military community.
We look forward to having you join us on this ride.
